If you are visiting Atlanterhavsparken from the centre of Ålesund, it is approximately 3 km by car. We have free parking and the road is well signed with an attraction sign "Akvarium". You may also go by the regular bus, which during the summer season is marked with «Akvariebussen», by taxi – or you can simply walk.
On foot, follow the street Nedre Strandgate or Kirkegata from the town centre, cross the bridge Steinvågsbroa and continue along the main street until it bends towards left. From here, take off to the right side of the sign “Atlanterhavsparken” and continue straight ahead towards the outdoor area of Tueneset. It normally takes approximately 40 minutes to walk at regular pace from the town centre.
During the summer season (1st of May to 30th of September), the regular bus signed "Akvariebussen" is scheduled every hour all the way from the bus station at Moa. From the town centre 5 minutes to every hour from Sankt Olavs Plass, passing Apotekertorget, Monday to Saturday at 11.00, 12.00, 13.00 and 14.00.
From Atlanterhavsparken, the bus returns at 12.15, 13.15 and 14.15 (during the high season also 15.15 and 16.15). The bus trip takes approximately 10 minutes. More information on time tables ecc. on www.frammr.no
During summer, you can also join the “Hop on - hop off” sightseeing bus leaving from the cruise port of Ålesund. Purchase your ticket and travel for free within the route Ålesund cruise port – Sunnmøre Museum – Fjellstua – Atlanterhavsparken for 24 hours! Everyone travelling with the “Hop on - hop off bus” receives a discount on the entrance fee at Atlanterhavsparken.

Get off the bus in Skarbøvika (ask the bus driver if he can let you off at the nearest bus stop) and follow the signs marked "Atlanterhavsparken" towards Tueneset. This is a walk of approximately 10 minutes.
